General  Foods  Limited - The Complete Soya Company

Established in 1973, General Foods Limited is the first company to bring Soyabean Processing and  indeed Soyabean itself to India. We set up our plant at Indore, in the heartland of India, with a modest capacity of 100 tpd to crush Soyabean. From that day it has been a story of our march ahead.

Today, General foods is present at every stage of the Soya Business Cycle including Production, Processing and Distribution. We pioneered the concept of Farmer Partnership as back as the early seventies, when we started providing seeds and modern farming techniques to the farmers. This helped the region prosper and a new industry was born.

Our plant at Indore has been gradually upgraded to a capacity of 400 tpd. We employ the most modern techniques of Soyabean Crushing. Our integrated plant processes Soyabean at every stage from cleaning and de-husking to solvent extraction and production of Flour, Oil, Grits and Lecithin.

The plant produces Soya Flours, Grits, Oil and Lecithin in various configurations. Our captive R&D facility also lets us customize our products to the client specifications. It is only due to our exacting standards of production and quality control that our products have found favour with a number of Food Processing and FMCG Giants.

The company has consistently grown at an average rate of 20% for the last seven years. The growth is also a result of prudent financial management, judicious investments and an overwhelming urge to produce excellence.

We are the path finders, the pioneers who staked everything on a concept two and a half decades ago. Today, the Central India's economy prospers due to the Soya revolution heralded by us.
